With COVID restrictions altering our university experience, the brief for the Final Film module changed and we had to make our own films individually. Without a team around me and spring upon the horizon, I decided to explore the beauty and freedom of spring as we slowly emerge from the horrible winter and year that was 2020. All filming was done through lockdown and phase 1 of restrictions easing.
Since completing Sunshine and Serenity, the film has been awarded Best Documentary for the WeMakeFIlms International Film Festival. It has also been selected for the Ealing Film Festival, Scene Awards, as well as a finalist for the Kings Cross Film Awards.
